Ron Ticho is President of Advance MarCom Strategies LLC, a marketing communications brand strategy consulting firm. Ron established the firm in 2019 to deliver greater value for its clients in the areas of strategic marketing and communications in the healthcare, life sciences, technology, and higher education industries.
Prior to establishing Advance MarCom Strategies, Ron most recently served as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and External Affairs for Coordinated Health, now part of Lehigh Valley Health Network. During Ron’s tenure, he played a critical role in the expansive strategic growth of Coordinated Health that included the addition of three new medical facilities, the launch of four new service lines, and a 20% year over year growth in medical staff.
He served for over a decade on the executive management team at OraSure Technologies, a publicly-traded medical diagnostics company, where he led corporate communications and strategic marketing. While at OraSure, he led a cross-functional team that researched, developed, aligned, and communicated a new corporate vision and growth strategy. OraSure revenues grew 120% during his tenure as the Vice President, Strategic Marketing and then as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications. In addition, he directed the market launch of several ground-breaking innovations that included the nation’s first rapid diagnostic tests for high burden infectious diseases such as HIV, hepatitis C and Ebola. He also led the market launch of the first and only rapid HIV test to be made available over the counter.
Prior to his tenure at OraSure, Ticho spent nearly 15 years at Lehigh University having last served as the institution’s chief marketing and communications officer reporting directly to President. His team’s work helped transform the perception of Lehigh from an “engineering school” to a “national university.” Through the proactive engagement and alignment of all key stakeholders, the University exceeded its $300M development campaign goal (largest at the time) and propelled from No. 51 to No. 33 in the U.S. News and World Report rankings among National Universities.
Ron has served on a number of community boards and currently is the President of the Parkland School District Education Foundation and of Congregation Brith Sholom. He currently serves on the boards of the Miller Keystone Blood Center, United Way Greater Lehigh Valley Campaign Cabinet and the Lehigh Valley Business Education Partnership.
